T20 World Cup: Ahmed Shehzad slams Pakistan over failure to qualify for Super 8

Shehzad criticised Pakistan’s performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 as they managed to win only one game in the tournament, so far, against Canada and lost their first two games against the USA and India. Shehzad took to his X account (formerly Twitter) and called out Pakistan’s poor performance yet again and urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman to take action. “The deserving team is through to the Super 8 round. If you're depending on Ireland to defeat someone, you seriously don't deserve to qualify. Don't think even "Kudrat Ka Nizam" works for those who are not deserving or ready to improve. All eyes on PCB chairman now!,” wrote Shehzad in a Tweet. Pakistan will now play one more game in the T20 World Cup 2024 against Ireland on June 16 in Florida. Ireland defeated Pakistan in May in the first of three T20Is hosted by the Irish. However, Pakistan’s last game is expected to be washed out due to rain as a flood warning has been carried out in Florida due to the excessive rainfall.
